I was contacted by them as well and I did extensive research on this company. The man I spoke with "Bruce Alberts" said that this company is not a collection agency. I went and searched the phone number and the just put an ad in the statesman.com for a "hard core collection rep" posted July 1, 2007.

But for some reason I can't find that ad anymore after I let "Bruce Alberts" know of this. I contacted my magistrate and he advised me that they can not call you and say that there is a felony warrant for your arrest, the only thing they can do is sue you and garnish your wages.

Then I contacted the Austin police department and spoke to a detective there for a long time on the phone and she advised me that it does sound like a collection agency and they are using scare tactics. She advised that if someone calls and says that there is a warrent for your arrest but they will take the warrant off if you wire them so odds amount of money, DON'T SENT IT without proper paper work from the asking company and this company will not send you any documents. She also advised me that this could not possibly be a felonly case because the dollor amount is to low she advised that anything under $1500 is a class A misdemeanor. But she did advise that this could be a civil case, but it is not big at all. She advised that if you tell them to stop calling and they keep calling to record each call and on each call advised them that this is your 3rd time telling them to stop calling, and on each call just keep saying that with the numbers going up (i.e this is your 4th, 5th, 6th call). Keep the tapes and take them to court for harrassment. Bruce Alberts advised me that he does look on rip off report everyday. I was advised that if more people contacted the austin police or the attorney general they could start an investigation. But if they keep calling you and you tell them to stop buy a recorder and save the tapes.
