I put a livingroom set on lay-a way on January 30th. I was told to pay on the sey every two weeks. The next two weeks I went back to see if my set was in and they told me it would be in in two weeks. I week back in another tow weeks and was told it still was not there.

By this time I'm getting upset because I told them I would be moving and needed to set. I called the customer service number which just leads you leave a message. I called at 8am and still was told that they were on the lines with other customers. When someone did call me back it was a week later and she was unable to tell me anything.

I waited about a week and went back and ask about the set, I was told that they send the set out when you pay it in full. So I paid it in full (Feb 25,waited for a wwek and called back. Guess what, my set still was not there. I ask the manager Mike or Micheal, who coudln't tell me anything. He told me that it would be on the truck the next day.

I waited and went back to the store to see if if my set was in. This was in March now and I started in January. The last day I went back noone cpuld tell me anything. There wwas a female employee there that slipped up and told me that hey had a set there but it was for someone else. I think this was my set but they sold it to someone thinking they had time to reorder my set. I went to get a truck and took that set home with me.

I would not advise anyone to but anything from the company, they are very unprofessional and what really made the situation worse they didn't offer any apology for the mix up. I will never buy from them agian. And the so called amnader of the store Mike or Michael is a complete mess, he could not give me a definite answer about anything.

NATIONWIDE TRIED TO RIP ME OFF TOO

AUTHOR: SE - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 31, 2004

Several years ago, I responded to an ad in the paper and went to the store.

Of course, they initially tried the "bait and switch" technique, but I insisted on seeing the product that was advertised in the paper.

I had a truck with me and was ready to purchase my furniture and take it home with me. When I went to pay the man, he told me a different price than the posted price in the paper and on the furniture.

I politely told him what the price was and he acted as if I was the one who did something wrong.

His reply was "Well, if that's how you're going to be about it".

I paid him the proper price and taxes, loaded the truck and left - never to return.

I don't advise anyone to go to that store and purchase anything. I can only imagine how bad my experience would have been if I would have needed the furniture delivered after I refused to pay the illegally marked-up price.
