Nationwide Warehouse screwed out of 250.00 dollars and told there is no corporate Saint Petersburg Florida

Last year in 2007 My husband and I put a 2pc furniture set on layaway from Nationwide Warehouse. When things got tough and we could not make the payments we were told by the then manager that everything was okay and that they still had my furniture there on layaway, and that I can resume payments at any time.

Since that time we have moved over 4 hours away from Nationwide I have tried contacting the manager of the store to find out about getting a refund and he said that every thing is in the system and that I can come up whenever to get my store credit which should be worth 250.00.

When we went to retrieve our credit we were told that the manager is no longer there and that all of our information was gone from the computer. I then showed them my receipt and was told that someone would call me with a answer from corporate. when I asked if they needed my current address and phone information the new manager said no . I asked how will you be able to contact me if you dont have my information.

After becoming very pissed and out of patientce my husband explained to them that our info on the receipt had changed. They made a copy of the receipt and had me write my info on their copy I was than told to call back on Monday ,which I did and no one knew what I was talking about. The assistant manager took my information again as if he did not even care like I was bothering him.

Yet to this day I still have not heard anything. I have tried calling the customer service 1866-446-8890 and a recording says that the customer service numbner is no longer taking or handling calls and was out of service. This company should be put out of business. Me and my husband work hard for our money and we deserve to have nice things it is not fair when companies prey on people with little income and take advantage of them and then huide behind skirt tails and tell customers that they dont have a corporate number for customers.
