Unfortunately my loan was sold to Ocwen in 2011.  I had set up automatic payment plans with them but on Dec 27, 2011 I called them to cancel.  Well, on January 5th they took it upon themselves to draft the payment out of my checking account (after I had confirmed with them on the 27th that it was to be cancelled).  I had one insufficient fee of $30.00, I contacted my bank and they reversed the payment and credited my account for the $30.00.  With Ocwen you have a I believe 15 day grace period where you can make your payment withing the 15 days and not be charged a late fee.

On Jan 15th, 2012 which was a Sunday I made the payment online, it went through OK.  I was looking at my checking account later on that week and noticed that the house payment had never been taken out.

I called Ocwen and they said that it was rejected from the bank but they failed to notify me.  I then called the bank and they said that because of the earlier discrepancy they blocked that dollar amount in case it was another fraudulent attempt.  I then set Ocwen up as a payee in my online Bill Pay system and issued a ck that way.

The check was rcd by Ocwen on Jan 21st, but I of course was charged a late fee.

What I really upset about is not only that but in the middle of January 2012 we received a letter from Ocwen dated January 13, 2012  indicating that we had overpaid in our escrow account and would be issued a check in the amount of $664.00 within the next 20 days.  I contacted Ocwen the end of January and was told that a check was issued on January 27th.  I waited until mid-February and called them again because I had not received the check.  Of course the only person I was able to talk to was some one in India that spoke very little English.  He said would have to have the escrow department do some research since the check had not been received.   Fast forward to the 23rd of February, called again and they said a new check had been "processed" on the 22nd of February but he (did not get name) could not tell me wether or not it had been mailed.

I have sent an overnight letter to the President and CEO Ron Farris.    I have  sent an email to the ocwen ombudsman with a response that I would receive an answer within 7 to 10 business days.  This was done on February 12th, I have not heard anything.  I sent another email yesterday 2/28 and got an automatic response again that I would hear from the Ombudsman withing 7 to 10 business days.  Yeah right!!

At this point I do not know what to do since the only people that I can speak to are those in India and I just keep getting the same old run around.   Any suggestions???
