Progressive Insurance RIPOFF Unethical ins co does not pay claims Houston Texas

I was rear ended by a large truck while sitting still at a yield sign. There is no question of fault/liability. Progressive took the following actions:
1- Tried to deny they were the company of record
2- When finally forced to admit it was their policy holder, they tried to fix my car with substandard parts.
3- Refused to pay nominal medical bills.
They continue to drag out the claims process. Rather than go into all the details, let me give some advice to anyone considering doing business with Progressive.

Go to the body shop (not an insurance shop) where you would want your car fixed in case of an accident. Ask the shop supervisor "I have a choice of who to fix my car, Progressive or ABC co. What would you do if it was you?" For ABC substitute State Farm or any other company you are comfortable with. This one short conversation may save you or someone you care about a lot of misery in the future.
