Ramada Plaza Resorts Fraudulent vacation package!! Ft Lauderdale, Florida

My husband and i finally decided to use our $ 350 plus Orlando/Ft Laudedale vacation package which we had subscribed to through Ramada Plaza Resorts almost a year back. The resrevation form booklet we had claimed to " make our travel dreams a reality" !

It took us several days just to get a confirmation from them. You see every time we called their customer service or the reservations dept, they would spend the first 15 minutes trying to get us to sign up for the next package rather than just try and get us confirmed for this trip. At times i felt i was talking to a recorded message because the voice at the other end would drone on endlessly despite my protests !!!

Anyways, we finally flew to Orlando, Florida early March. We were told that since the Ramada at Orlando was fully booked, we would be checked into another "great" hotel.

The "great" hotel turned out to be a rather ordinary motel on the freeway in a place called kissimmee. The voucher we had entitled us to a room for 80 dollars and this motel wasnt even worth half that.

We went to pick up the rest of our free-stay vouchers the next morning at the Welcome center and were told that we had to attend this "time-share presentation" in order to be eligible for our vouchers !!

The timeshare salespersons (RCI) were horribly, terribly obnoxious and yelled at us when after their long (more than half a day) sales pitch, we refused to sign up. To be precise, the elderly saleslady banged her fist on the table and yelled at us for wasting her time !

We had only 2 days to spend in orlando before we flew back to New York and we lost more than half a day at the "presentation" (i cringe to use the word because thats hardly what it was.

It was a horrible vacation and i cant believe we spent so much to stay at a "just-one-step-from-sleazy" motel on the freeway!

The purpose of writing this review is not to obtain a refund of my money but to try and ensure that other people dont get taken for a ride and de-frauded like my husband and i were !
