Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Ziebart has changed it's policies and are no longer the bargain I once felt they were. I first used Ziebart in 1972 and on every new car since then. Not anymore. No longer will they offer a rustproof guarantee for as long as you own the car. 10 years is the maximum length.

You must pay about $100 yearly for an inspection to keep the policy (warranty) in force. So if you pay $500 up front and $100 per year for 10 years you now have $1500 invested in the warranty. Another way to figure it is this.......The auto manufacturer provides for a 7 year rust protection on all their new cars. You've just paid $1500 for a 3-year warranty (from 7 years to 10 years) or $500 per year. Also it should be noted that if you do use Ziebart, (they drill holes into your car) it would void your factory warranty.

If you happen to miss one of Ziebart's required yearly inspections, you have no warranty from Ziebart or the manufacturer. By the way, depending on the manufacturer, some body rust warranties last 10 or 12 years, equal to or longer than Ziebart's warranty at no additional cost. Save yourself the money and hassles.

Read Your Manufacturers Warranty Exclusions

AUTHOR: Jackie - (U.S.A.)

Dear Z,

Depending on what kind of car you have, the exclusions will be
1. conditions in the environment
2. water
3. or salt
and they only cover outer body sheet metal. they do not cover anything on the underside of the vehicle, or the innder doors or inner structures. So, in short, the second you drive your car off the lot in the rain or snow...your warranty is voided. Drilling holes is the only way in which to rustproof and reach these critical areas. The areas where the holes are drilled ARE NOT covered by your manufactures warranty anyways. Again, read the warranty.

Secondly, Ziebart warranties are backed by an insurance company. And the cost, which I must correct you on is only $ 39.95 for the rustproofing inspection. In which, you are not being charged for any materials, you are being charged for the cleaning and prep of the vehicle. As for the $initial $500.00, you must have purchased a full package, which also included your paint protection, fabric protection, and underbody sound barrier.

Third, your warranty reccomends that you have the underside powerwashed at least once a year, if not twice. We do it once. Would you power wash and apply chemicals and do over three hours worth of work for free? Why dont you read both of your warranties before you start making false and sladering accusations towards a company that has been in business for over 45 years. We are the only company in thw world that offers the kind of vehicle protection that we do. We must be doing something right, since you are the only person complaining about a measly $45.
