bebe did not honor gift cards California Los Angeles

I was given two bebe gift cards, however store locations are closed but on line shopping is available. The store representative looked both of gift cards up in their system and acknowledged that they were in the system, the rep placed me on hold as if he was going to activate my cards for use, but then came back to the phone and declined the use of the gift cards. I asked for a manager explaining that gift cards should be honored or at least a store voucher should be given in place of the gift card especially if you can see on your end that the cards are useful and you still offer on line shop on Bebe website. I was never afforded an opportunity to speak with management nor was the situation resolved, just a No with no solution and out of $125
