Google employees have proven in recent weeks that their ability to censor the internet goes far beyond Google owned platforms. We know this because a group of concerned consumers began exposing the unlawful activities of Google employees online only to find themselves de-platformed by several big tech companies in additon to Google.

Pinterest

Shortly after launching GoogleEmployees.com, the group found themselves banned from Pinterest with shocking speed. They did some research and determined that the ban was likely due to the close relationship Google has with the founder of Pinterest. As you can see, Pinterest CEO Ben Silbermann worked for Google right before starting Pinterest (https://googleemployees.com/pinterest-ban/).

Bing

One would think that a direct competitor like Microsoft wouldn't care if someone went around doxxing Google employees, but they do. Bing made it clear that even though the Google Employees website doesn't violate any of thier written guidelines that it is none the less out of line with their quality guidelines. We suspect this is due to former Google employees working at Microsoft and vice-versa (https://googleemployees.com/bing-ban/).

The Bing ban seems to have been extended to syndicated copies of articles from the site as well. The site has a Wordpress.com blog that was creeping up in Bing rankings before being replaced with the same removal notice as the site itself.

Facebook

Facebook has now banned Google Employees from their platform (see https://www.facebook.com/googleemplioyees). We suspect that too is likely due to professional networking. A classic case of Google offering to scratch their backs if they scratch theirs and who doesn't want to be in Google's good graces?

Ripoff Report Targeted as Well

If you look into the history of the Google Employees website and read their manifesto, you'll see that they are in an industry similar to Ripoff Report. They traffic in anonymous complaints about people and businesses. Google recently admitted to manually suppressing their content in search results despite testifying before Congress that it is impossible for their employees to do that. We have noticed the Ripoff Report has been targeted with suppression in recent years and think that is likely due to manual manipulation.

We have the utmost respect for Ripoff Report and its founder Ed Magedson. We think that a great service is being provided. Unfortunately, big tech does not share our views and we fear it is only a matter of time until Bing and/or Google suppresses this report.
