42ND Street Photo Definitely ripping people off and upselling New York New York

I ordered a camera lens on 5/9/16.  Received a call from Robert within a few minutes to tell me that I did not select a signature confirmation on my delivery and asked if I would like that option.  I said yes.  Robert then told me that the lens I ordered will not work without a filter.  The filter was $349.  I told Robert I was not willing to spend more money after I just purchased a lens for $1849.  Robert then said he would discount the lens by $100 and add a free warranty if I purchased the "required" filter.  I agreed since this lens is a gift for my son who is a photographer and I know nothing about camera equipment.

I later asked my son if a filter was required to operate the lens he wanted and he said no.  I later called UPS to ask a question about my package scheduled for delivery on 5/12/16 and was told there isn't even a signature required for the package, which is what Robert claimed he was calling me about to begin with and claimed he added for me.

Then I emailed the company to express my disappointment that they have to stoop so low to lie to customers to sell additional merchandise and that I would never do business with liars again.  I then received another phone call from Robert (the same liar) telling me that my email was forwarded to him and he would like to discuss the matter.  Why in the world would I talk to the same liar.

This company is a joke.  Be careful doing business with them.
