I purchased a service from the website http://fbprofitpages.com/ on 8-16-2013 using PayPal. Based on promises made in their video and in the print on their website I purchased the development of three Facebook fan pages with 30,000 fans each and the selection of affiliate products to monetize each page. The implied possible income for the three pages was an average of $4700 per month.
I asked the online help why they were no names and addresses in the legal pages on the site and I was informed that the pages were only five days old and they would be completing everything soon. I then asked other questions including how long it takes to get the pages up for the ads begin to run. I was told two weeks. Attached is a transcript from online help stating such.
I received an initial phone call on August 17, 2013 at 6:10 PM Eastern standard Time and the call lasted for six minutes and 47 seconds. The gentleman I spoke to said he was living in Los Angeles and that was where the company was located and that he had been working with them since last January. He asked me if I had any specific niches to which I answered no please select the best ones.
Everything seemed to be going along fairly well for the first 10 days and then I began to question what was happening or what was not happening and why it was not going according to the schedule that had been outlined for me (two weeks to get the pages up and completed). As you can see below the pages were not completed as described because there were no affiliate products, there were no fans, and no ads were running. One week after the completion of a timeline image and several posts (to develop this much would take no more than four hours tops, I know this because I also develop Facebook fan pages). I received an email saying that the fans should start on Friday, this did not happen. On Monday fans began to show up but there were no real fans other than two people, all the rest had no real names, no real personal pages, at this point I began to get very worried that I had made a big mistake.
I began to get very concerned when questions that I sent to them were ignored and remained unanswered. This caused me to further investigate and I found at their website does not contain the basic business information required by law (http://www.seqlegal.com/blog/selling-online-and-law-part-4 ). I asked for that information in a conversation I had with their online support and they continually evaded me ultimately telling me that I had all the information that I needed and they would not give me the company address, the name and address of the registered agent (they list themselves as a limited liability corporation, LLC). This is all information that is legally required for e-commerce website. Their refusal to give me any information as a paying customer raised significant concerns. I asked that a manager call me to discuss the issues and I received no response. Legitimate companies do not hide, they have a real phone numbers and they have a real physical address. Since the only thing that they have managed to release to me is that they are based out of Los Angeles California I did a business records search for Los Angeles County and Orange County with zero results for their listed corporate name 5th Power Marketing LLC.
The company website http://fbprofitpages.com information is hidden behind a Panamanian anonymous website listing service.
Now they will not reply any requests in their support area, will not reply to anything, they totally RIP ME OFF FOR $800
