I took my car to Aamco to get it diagnosed and was told that it was the throw out bearings and that it would cost 985.00 to get repaired so it was agreed upon and I left my car there. Someone called me the next day and said that I needed a fly wheel and it would cost 90.00 dollars more so I told them ok. A female called a couple of days later and said that the car was ready to be picked up. When I got there I wanted to check the car out before I paid. When I got in the car and started it up it made a grinding noise which came from the fly wheel so I knew that it hadnt been changed. Then as I put my car in gear to take off it was making the same noise that I had took it in for and I told them that my car is not fixed. So I went into the office and I was told that the problem is now the transmission. At that point Im wondering what the he** is going on here. They said that they would call me with an estimate of the transmission repair so I left and went home. The next day a guy called me and said that it would cost 2900.00 to fix the transmission and at that point I said leave my car alone and I will pick it up the next day. Well the next morning my phone rang at 7 am. and it was the regional manager telling me that he wanted to know what was going on with my car and why was I having so much problem. He said that he was there to help me. So later that day I went in and met with him ( Brian Joo). But I still havent seen the help because I still have to pay 2400 dollars to get my car out of the shop. This whole things has been a nightmare for me. I am on a monthly income and I feel that I have been taken advantage of by Aamco and its staff. This is not right at all. So now I am stuck with the cost of the throw out bearings labor of 700.00 and a rebuilt transmission which labor was 700.00. So for labor alone its 1400.00. Im paying for labor twice. This has got to be one of the worst scam ripoffs I have ever encountered. I am 50yrs old and I have never been done this way by anybody.

I am glad to report that Aamco and I have resolved the problem. It was a misunderstanding and I am proud to say that it was just a lack of communication and I wasnt ripped off after all. We talked and they gave me a reasonable deal and I have my car back and its better than ever. Now I know that communication is very important. Thanks again Aamco and I would recommend this company to anyone.
