This also happen to me three times with ac delco batteries. The positive post fell out of the battery with out the post even being touched. One in a 2001 Camaro, in a 2002 Silverado, and in a 2003 Corvette. They didn't even have any acid leaking from them either. I contacted ac delco and got the same run around , they were oem so only 3 year 36000. Although the batteries had less than 5 years stated on the batteries. I went with Sears Diehard to replace them and never had another problem and their sealed.
