Alamo Rent A Car ****buddies with Enterprise Rent A Car and Holdings St. Louis Internet

If I had known that Alamo was with Enterprise, I would have never used them from my travel plans to Vancouver British Columbia. Made the reservation trough Travelocity three weeks in advance. Bought car insurance and had called them about using said insurance. That would have been the time to warn me that I couldn't use Alamo or even National to rent cars. The week of the trip I go to pick up car and then told at the counter about Enterprise. I didn't think this "independent" company had dealings with Enterprise so I had said there was a problem once before, but because Enterprise put me on a do not rent list, that meant I could not rent through Alamo or National. When I asked the clerk about why they were not an independent company, he tried to say they were, but Enterprise controlled them. So I couldn't rent from them. They ruined my travel plans that required a vehicle to tour the province. Luckily, I was able to use another rental agency, but could only travel to Victoria and not the two other areas I had planned for months.

The thought did not cross my mind to investigate if Alamo was a ****buddy to Enterprise. Had I known this, I would have went with someone else. Thanks a lot Alamo for being a complete screwup.

On a side note, Enterprise refuses to fix the "problem" that earned me on their do not rent list. They say to call, you call, they do nothing. So if you had problems with enterprise before, don't go to Alamo or national.
