Allegheny Power This company has a monopoly over my area. They shut off my electric even though I pay every month! LaVale, Maryland

Allegheny Power has a monopoly going in my area. They make up the rules as they go. To steal your money and help keep the economy poor. When I moved into my house they charged me a 300 dollar deposit. The family that left was a five person family. We are a three person family our bill is usually under 100 dollars/month. So we paid on it for a year on time, and got credited that deposit. Most recently we have still been paying every month. although we have not paid the full amount every month. Today they came and shut off the electric without any notice whatsoever. Our outstanding balance was around 100 dollars. SO my wife called them to see what it would take to get the electric back on. we figured it would be the balance, around 100.00. Nope, they said 448.00!!! They said they decided to attach another deposit on of 300.00. So for me to have electric on in my house it will cost 448.00 and then take them up to 24hrs to turn it back on. I have a son with asthma they needs a nebulizer on occasion as well as my wife. These are not things that these big monopolizing compnaies worry about though. I dont have the 100.00 to pay the bill. let alone an extra 300 for them to hold!
