Hello,

First I would like to say thanx to ripoffreport.com You guys are the best.

Allegheny power or Allegheny Energy has made my life a living hell since I filled a case with the PSC over a year ago now. They have messed up my credit to an extream, and they are also making my electric bills higher than they should be.

To start the same home I live in now.. The past people that lived here (A family of 6) used approx $150.00 worth of electric each month. I have a family of 4 and we receive $600.00 to $1000.00 a month electric bills. We do not use electric heat, and I even had a electrician check everything.

I spoke with a man names Lukas Cade (301-790-6173) at Allegheny power several times after I sent the CEO a letter direct about this problem. He informed me that If I paid $75.00 a week, or $300.00 a month that I would be ok. So I figured I cant beat a big company like this so I just figured that I would do this so I did.

It was not long after this that they marked my credit saying that I was 60 days past due, and then again 60 days past due for $411.00. Now remember I'm paying them $300.00 a month. We received a bill today for $601.00 total due, and it shows a past balance of $10.00 that is owed.

When I filled a case with the PSC of WV after this was all done, and settled I seen a paper that was from Allegheny power that had my name on it that said "Red flagged" Which I'm a PI (Private Detective) and I know that this word is not used for good people.

I have filled a case again today with the PSC, and this time I have contacted a few other agencies about this matter. Some that I have contacted have been the BBB, the Attorney Generals office, PSC, Planet feedback, IFCC, and a few others.

When it comes to a point paying $300.00 a month for electric is crazy. But what is worse is that I pay $300 a month and I can still not pay it all as I get $600.00 to $1000.00 bills each month. This is for a single family of 4 with a 1600 sf home. We do not heat with electric and use gas heat.

To resolve this matter I would like Allegheny power to stop messing with my account, and remove the junk they put on my credit file that is not accurate.

I will be waiting for a decision about this matter from allegheny power and I doubt that they will respond to this online, or offline.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
