AmerAssist is a company in the business of helping businesses restructure their debt and get back on their feet.

When my business was in a very fragile state, I went to them for their help. They were happy to help me and took a tidy fee each month to help me fend off creditors and pay them over time so I could rebuild my company. I have now gotten to the point where I can begin to handle this myself.

When I signed up for the program, I was told that they would help me for as long as I needed it - my contract says "no fee for early termination, agreement can be terminated at any time". Now that I want to terminate my participation, they are refusing to return the balance in my account - these are funds that I gave them to be paid to my creditors. They didn't pay them out on my behalf, and are refusing to return them. They've gotten their fees, and now they are refusing to return monies that lawfully belong to me.

AmerAssist is a SCAM - I think they've already spent the money - they did NOT negotiate me any big savings like they promised, they just paid some of my bills and took a 20-30% fee to do it. What a joke - they position themselves as a company that helps, they DO NOT help, they are a SCAM.
