I got behind on my house payments in June of 2010 and seeked out a company to help get back on track. When doing my research I found American Platinum Financial Services who did Loan Modifications. After talking to them it sounded like the way to go to help with my issue. They gave me an amount to pay over so many payments and told me to sign a POA so they could nogotiate on my behalf. They said that they worked with Wells Fargo all the time and usually always made deals and such and it would be a waiting game but no worries it would all be ok. This went on and on with me being told not to contact my lender as this would mess up their negotiatines with the bank and such. They put a sale date on my house and a postponment was given from 11/4/10 to 12/7/10. I was told don't worry they would get another postponement and still work on getting me a deal and this never happend. I was told a postponment was gotten and instead the day we were planning my Grandfather's funeral I get a call telling me my house was sold and no deal was made. They would look into the matter and I should now contact the bank and see what needs to happen after all this has taken place. I was never contacted again, tried calling several times treated rudely and told it was in review and that never happend. By the time I got home Freddie Mac's realtor had already left information on when we had to be out of the house. I was online and saw my house that I was paying $100,000 for being listed and sold for $59,900. This company is a fraud and if the bank was willing to list it for $40,000 less why could a deal not be made. I think they are scam artist and I plan to get my local news involved in this matter so it does not happen to other people who really need help!!
