I like many individual purchased an Apple IPhone from my local Apple store. I paid the full price and gladly signed a 2 year contract with ATT. I purchased this phone on July 29 for $699.00. The phone was release 30 days earlier with much hype. On September 5th Apple cut the price of the phone 33%. This is almost 2 months after the phone was released. Apple admits in several newspaper articles that this was planned from the beginning. I believe it is wrong to rip off customer such as this. I can understand if this was based on sales declining but this is not the case. They had every intention of ripping off the loyal customers of their products. I feel that a full refund of 200 cash should be given back to me for this scam. I know they are now planning to offer a 100 gift card for their store as an apology. I want my cash back! I do not want a gift card. That is not how I paid for the item and it is not an acceptable solution.

I learned my lesson as the earlier poster said. I bought a xbox 360 the day they came out biggest mistake i ever made. It over heated on me and at the time clost me almost 200.00 to fix. this is your own fault technology goes down in cost faster than cars do.

Steve Jobs had this to say...

Yes - technology products get better, faster, cheaper.... Moore's Law. What a lame a*s excuse Steve for your decisions and companies business practices.

Apple sucked the maximum price from it's loyal customers - when they knew full well they could of just came out the gate with this price - and still made a profit. It is called greed. 600,000 iphones sold X 100.00 = 60 million in bonus revenue for Apple.

NEVER buy new technology the first year it's out. Look what happened with XBOX 360....getting so hot they melted discs and caused fires and the mfg didn't even offer the fix for free but made folks PAY for it. Besides...the price ALWAYS goes down. Apple just dropped it sooner than most companies. Wait till all the bugs are fixed. I personally think it's your own fault you got ripped off.
