I called Appliance Professor to look at my ice maker which was not working.  Mike Usher came out and said the motor had to be replaced.  That was on 6/4/14  and he said he would get the part and return on 6/6/14.  He did not show up.  When he did on 6/9/14 he said to defrost the freezer.  We were leaving on vacation so set up a return appointment for 6/24/14.  He did not show at appointment and when I called again he said he would be here between 5 and 6 pm.  No show.  I called on 6/25/14 and Mike said he would be here between 10 and 12.  When he showed up he was rude and abrupt to both myself and my husband.  He couldn't find the part that he had ordered and was tearing up his truck.  My husband said to forget it and they had words and started shouting in the driveway.  I thought they would come to blows.  He said he did not need our business and would send a refund.

I then called the business number and spoke with a lady named Toni.  I asked to speak to the owner and she said he was in the military in North Carolina.  I told her about the rude behavior of the serviceman Mike.  She said he was her husband and was out of sorts when he left for work this morning.  Mike was agitated and on edge while he was here.  I said I wanted a refund as no work was done except for me to defrost the freezer which cleared the ice that had jamed the ice maker bucket.

After repeated calls for a refund I finally got a check for $50.00 on a $200.00 deposit on 7/17/14.  I called Mike and he said he charged for several service calls and a part restockment charge.  He missed the mark--I did not need a replacement part.  He hung up on me twice.

I just can't believe that a repairman would operate a family business like that.  Beware of this company.  I have never written a bad review of any company.
