ARAG Legal Services Not worth the money Des Moines Iowa

This is a legal plan service that advertises discount or covered legal services.  However, when you call them the call center just refers you to an attorney rather than a law firm.  So, I got referred to the same law firm 5 different times.  Every time I called, the lawyer at the law firm told me that they were no longer participating in the plan.  After I got referred for a fifth time to the same firm, I asked if they had told the plan that they were no longer participating and the managing partner said yes, OVER A YEAR AGO!  Stupid ARAG did not adjust their database.  So, they finally referred me to another attorney who was not able to help me either and frankly was very rude.  The attorneys that are NOT on the plan are good, and those that are on the plan seem like idiots!  ARAG is a big ripoff.  It is not worth the time, effort or hassle.  Do yourself a favor and go to another legal plan if you like legal plans, otherwise pay for a good attorney.  Also, when you call and say you are from ARAG, the attorney's tone usually changes.  This probably means that ARAG pays like crap and so good attorneys do not want to deal with you.  Absolutely horrible experience!
