I believe that Rasmussen College will accept these credits with no problem and it is Regionally Accredited.  There are other options as well to supplement your education through certificates or additional courses through RA schools.  You could also pursue degrees like a Law Degree from Taft or Abraham Lincoln, etc.  and take the bar in California - Wisconsin also recognizes these degrees.  There are also foreign schools online that will take your credit as well.

I know that it can be frustrating but with patience and research you'll find that there are many schools that will accept your Ashworth College credits. Bellevue University is a regionally accredited school and they will accept your credits.

I am at the end of my sixth semester in the Bachelors degree in management and have nothing but good things to say.I will go after my MBA next. Before I enrolled I spent 5 months looking into all schools. I checked with the United States Department of Education  and Ashworth College is 100% fully accredited and  legitimate.

Anyone wanting to go to college needs to show your intelligence by doing the research. No College, regional or national is obligated to accept any credits from any college. Each one has their own guidelines, some accept some credits and not others. They are all in it for the money. There are several blogs that list regionally accredited colleges that accept nationally accredited colleges credits. You just have to actually look and not expect to find them in only 20 minutes. The blog post I am referring to listed over 100 regional colleges that accept national colleges credits. But no college will accept 100% of all your credits, If you find one that does, it is the exception. I would recommend Ashworth to anyone, and already have. 

No Really? You are going to blemish a name due to lack of proper research. What you are reporting is not Ashworth's fault, they have it all out there for you. Nothing was hidden.

Now, I see that many have posted to where these credits will transfer for you. I love my college and very happy they can make a degree affordable!

Please note UOP (Phoenix) there credits will not transfer either! Ashford will accept associate degree from Ashworth and has an nice teaching degree ... But Ashworth will have one soon so I have been told by my friends.

NOW, before you blemish yet another name, please get with your local education state agency and find out their requirements so that when you do enroll some where else you have the proper questions to ask and arm yourself with knowledge.

I am a student of ashworth, i graduated with a degree in ece and my credits were accepted. Yes its true ashworth is not regionally credited and some schools will not accept the credit but some schools will. My credits were accepted by UOP and I found out that were alot of schools that would accept them as well. Nothing is perfect people but considering the price and the quality of education it was worth it for ME. I was never told the school was regionally accreditted however even if I was it would not have mattered because I'm a grown d**n woman and I know how to research a school and ask the right questions. I work as a teacher now and I love my job. my only response to everyone on this site is to please stop bitching its disgusting...

I graduated from Ashworth College in 2003 with an Associate in Info systems. When I went to get a BS from American Sentinal University they gave me full credit, no trouble at all. As a matter of fact they gave me greater than 60. Which was a nice suprise

they will take those credits and are regionally accredited and stop bashing ashworth and you can't pay their tuition? its no a lot of money.

I am researching Ashworth University for a M.S. Marketing and discovered something very interesting: Along with the DETC accreditation, it has the same accreditation as some of the over-priced schools, including American Intercontinental University, DeVry, ITT, Arogsy, Bauder, Capella, Central Michigan, Strayer, The Art Institute, Troy University, University of Phoenix. This is just a partial list.

I've got some more research to to do, and I think this accreditation if fairly new, but I thought I would share.

Transfer of Ashworth University Ashworthuniversity.edu is possible.

Regionally Accredited Schools that will approve or review Ashworth Credits for transfer.

WGU.edu Western Governors University for Teachers (ECE) or higher. Their teaching program is also accredited with NACTE will review and might possibly accept credits depending on relevance of future studies.

American Intercontinental University AIU will review and might possibly accept credits depending on relevance of future studies.

Fort Hays State University FHSU.edu in Kansas will review and might possibly accept credits depending on relevance of future studies.

Kaplan University Kaplan.edu will review and might possibly accept credits depending on relevance of future studies.

You see, most traditional schools now offer online degrees, but aren't as ideal for adult people already in the workforce, so alternative accredited schools are great and pretty much great for anyone interested. The above are fully accredited regional institutions that I've listed are just like any traditional university. So, really there isn't any difference in the degree whether online or from attending in the actual classroom. I hope this helps. Alot of institutions realize that people worked for the credits they got at Ashworth or any other university and refuse not to be able to transfer at least some credits toward their future degree. Before they do that they just will not attend that university, so a lot of universities have re-evaluated their transfer credit regulations in order to accomodate those people. If you made a high average in your credits they will more than likely accept those credits toward your future degree. It's not impossible at all to transfer credits from Ashworth or other institutions. Just make sure that your degree is accredited by an agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. I know this is true, because I had contacted these schools in the past and submitted transcripts for review and they were willing to review and many accept my credits from Ashworth. I didn't have time to read over this report. Please excuse any grammatical errors.

I checked with Capella and they are $430.00 a CREDIT as of 2/2009.

If you want a certificate from a highly regarded educational institution, I would recommend UCLA Extension. They have certificates where you can complete them online exclusively, and they are $200.00 per credit. I have completed one class there and learned quite a bit. I think I will just have to write Ashworth off as a loss and complete my A.A. at my local community college.

I am a current student of Ashworth College and all of my credits transfer from them to Strayer University. Strayer is a pretty name school with a lot of campuses, you may want to check them out to transfer.

I am responding to the gentleman who says his Ashworth Credits will not transfer. This is not true. Before Ashworth offered a Bachelors program several online colleges I contacted and applied offered a transfer of almost all of my credits either as their level courses or as electives. I would suggest you contact more than one college and see about their transfer criteria.

I have joined Ashworth recently. I feel I have taken advantage of already when I wanted to transfer some of my credits over from another school to Ashworth's. I was lied to about the transfer of credit process and was told I had to join for further instructions on this. I feel they are not transparent enough with those students who want to transfer credit into or out of the school. They just want a sale seems like. They were quick to tell me about the no refund policy though. Funny huh?

Robin, check out Capella University. They are regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

I had the exact same problem you did. I graduated in 2005 from Ashworth University with an Associate's in Human Resource Management back when they only had the associate's and master's programs and were known as Ashworth College. Desiring my bachelor's degree, I had to look elsewhere and found most schools would accept nothing less then regional accreditation. My employer on the other hand would accept the national accreditation, but a bachelor's degree was the minimum for most upper level jobs.

After an exhausting search I found that Regis University, who is regionally accredited, would allow me to submit a portfolio of my education for individual review, but there was a charge involved and no guarantees.

Capella University, on the other hand, only charged me the normal application fee to evaluate my transcripts. The majority of the credits transferred into the business program and where you fall short you can take classes through them or at other schools as long as they are recognized by the US Dept of Education, which DETC is. The only formality is that you get pre-approval for the school and class you are taking. The academic counselor can advise you further on how and where things will apply towards your program.

There is only one down fall that I have found with Capella over the last couple years. The price reflects the regional accreditation and the online quality. For me personally, I have no regrets. With just a couple classes remaining, I began calling around for info on MBA programs and found everyone I talked to was willing to accept their credits because of the regional accreditation. It's like a club. You are either in or out.

For your situation, if you chose Capella, I would imagine that you would have to settle for a transfer into a business program since they only have degrees in education at the masters and doctorate levels.

If after looking at Capella, you find that they won't work for your situation, try asking the schools you contact about submitting a portfolio of your education and life experiences. The regionally accredited schools seem to be more responsive to this than a national accreditation. Finally, if you are still stuck, go to your library and check out or purchase The Bear's Guide, by John Bear. It is a super reference to getting a degree through distance education.

Ashworth University is fully, nationally accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The DETC only accredits schools that meet their stringent standards in terms of curricula, faculty and administrative policies. Furthermore, the DETC is nationally recognized. This being said, if anyone from Ashworth University promised that your credits would transfer anywhere, this person was out of line. No school can abide by such promises!

However, the fact is many, MANY of our graduates have indeed successfully transferred Ashworth credits into some of the finest colleges and universities across this nation.
