About 5 months ago I started receiving charges against my bank card from this company for a monthly subscription to their DVD service. I never signed up for it nor authorized them to make any charges against my card.

I don't utilize mail order DVD rental services, nor, do I care to. I like right next door to a major video rental store and get any videos I care to see from them.

I have contacted them many times regarding this matter and they refuse to stop billing and tell me that they can not stop the charges because they are fraudulent in nature.

As well they refuse to return the monies they have stolen from me.

They still attempt to make these charges knowing full well they are fraud; I received charges against my account yet again today

Everyone should be made aware of these crooks and take every care to distance yourself from them should you have a membership.

TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILIY

Another bogus ripoff report!!
Im getting tired of these people making the ripoff report on the wrong party
In order for a CC to go thru, your personal info was givin to blockbuster...by someone. If not by you, than someone stole your account info!!! I would hope you have enough common sense to realize that blockbuster did not send someone on a mission to gets marks info so they could run fraudulent charges on Mark & send him into a tissy fit.

Why should you have to cancel the cards? Because if you dont, whomever stole your info will do it again & poor Mark will be making a ripoff report on another company & I will waste another minute of my life reading another stupid rip off report aimed at the wrong party

Credit Card numbers don't just appear out of thin air. To have signed up for the online membership you would have had to enter your personal information.. name, address, phone #, and also credit card #. Either someone stole your card, and all of your information, which if that is the case, you need to cancel your card; or you knowingly put in your information without being fully aware of what you were doing. Again, nobody is responsible for signing up for anything except yourself. Nobody just happened to put in your CC# unless it was stolen.

I dont get it? If you have an online account ask them for your sign in name and password, sign onto the site, and cancel membership. I never had an issue.

Just cancel your bloody check card already...

If what you are saying is correct...I have never heard of any merchant behaving this way regarding fraudulent charges...but let's assume for now. While it is unfair that they would take this stance regarding fraudulent activity, all you have to do is cancel your checkcard and have your bank issue you a new card number. When they try to autocharge your account at the next billing date it simply won't go through and no future charges will be able to post to your account. If a credit card charge doesn't go through, no returned payment fee is charged. The account is simply cancelled. I have no doubt that cancelling your card will prove to be inconvenient, especially if you have other bills that autocharge on a monthly basis, but if there is no other option then you really should consider it. Good luck w/ your issue.
