My wife bought me a $160.00 Leather Jacket. It did not fit, so she went to return it. The policy states no cash or credit returns. So we fugure they will be bale to mail us a check since the policy does not state clearly, no refunds store credit only.
We have talked to local and corporate managers as well as emailed them. Nobody in this company gives a d**n about customers and our hard earned money we choose to spend in their store.
I believe that their return policy is blatantly misleading. It should be so simple "NO REFUNDS". But they word it in a way that you think you can get a refund if you have a receipt. We have talked to other friends who have learned the hard way about their return policy.
I urge anyone else who has learned the hard way about this policy to file a report, contact a lawyer and lets get a class action suit to these ripoff artists.

OK so I fail to see the problem here. The store says "no cash or credit returns." Hmmm... that would lead one to logically deduce that everything is sold final-sale and you cannot return items. How on earth did you interpret that to mean that the store would mail you a check??!! What in the world!!
Do you see something about a check in the statement "no cash or credit returns?" Do you see anything about "refunds?" They spelled out their return policy extremely clearly and concisely, and yet you do not get it.
No Cash or Credit Returns indicates that if you pay for something with cash or credit you cannot return it! Now, if you paid with something other than cash or credit, perhaps you have a case. Perhaps you bartered a sack of potatoes for that coat, or traded your first-born calf. But if that is not the case then I urge you to get off your high-horse throne and be reasonable here. Store policies are there for a reason.
You need not go out of your way to misconstrue them and try to convince yourself that you are entitled to something you are not. Why is it that customers like you always seem to think that store policies do not apply to them?? Step down from your throne, brutha, your reigning days are long past due!

I've only been to 1 or 2 Burlington Coat Factory stores, so I can't say what other stores do, but at the store near me, their return policy is clearly posted in several places near the checkout. Those signs very clearly state "Store credit only." If that isn't the case at your store, I'd take a picture of the sign(s) they do have, and include them in any correspondence you have with the company.
