Capital First Fraudulent company jacked me out of my hard-earned American dollars Miami Florida

A smarmy-voiced telephone solicitor convinced me that the best way to rebuild my credit was through his company's fine offer of an unsecured Mastercard with a $2500.00 limit, 0%APR, and ten days to change my mind. The initial cost was $29.00, plus another $59.95 should I decide to accept the offer. Then I would be charged $99.95 as an annual fee. Like an idiot, I trusted him enough to give him my checking account number. He gave me his rep#, a tracking #, and a toll-free # to call.

Three weeks went by before I received my package in the mail. Close to $200.00 had already been withdrawn from my checking account, so I was ready to do some home repairs with my new Mastercard. It wasn't in the package. In fact, not much of value was in the package. There were a few flyers depicting happy people enjoying financial freedom, a couple of travel discount coupons, and some credit rebuilding worksheets. There was a computer website address to look up. I did try. There were no sites found. I tried a different search engine and got this site.

That this has happened to other people makes me feel like less of a moron, but that it is still happening frightens me. How are these companies allowed to be in business? It has been 7 months since the initial call, and I have yet to receive a Mastercard. I used part of the package to start a campfire, so it was of some value. I have filed this experience under Stupid Things I Have Done, and have written off my money...a lesson learned.
