Capital Management Services - LP Company claims I owe $1778.02 but will settle for $533.41. No item mentioned, no date , where incurred,nothing but send money. Buffalo New York

Capital Management has for the second time, sent this same letter. Earlier this year, I called the 1-800 number, gave her the account number indicated in the letter. She said they did not have an account by that number and asked me for my social security number. In no uncertain terms, I told her that I do not give that over the telephone to total strangers and to a company I have never heard of in my life. This letter appears to be a fradulent scam to frighten unsuspecting, law-abiding persons to just send them five hundred plus dollars. In this economic time? Give me a break!
