Chase bank is trying to dramatically raise the payment on my home. Granted I was starting to get behind a bit , but i was gradually getting caught up. When I was about to be caught up, Chase refused to take any more payments so I would stay behind.
When I called to try to arrange ANY sort of payment plan, i was met with a "not our fault you can't make your payments on time" attitude, even though I explained that my wife had lost her job, and we were just starting to get ahead again.
Mr. Jackson (the associate I spoke to,) harrased me for several minutes until I demanded to speak to his supervisor. (I was asked if the money I was able to pay my payments with came from an "Illegal" source.) I left a message with the supervisor, hoping for a return call.
Long story short, I am now in the middle of filing for Bankruptcy just so I can keep my house, because Chase refuses to allow me to make my payments.

The bank is correct in that you can not just make "payments" to get caught up. You have to make it in full. Did you as for a forbearance or a work out plan? Im just asking not to be nosey, but helpful. I'm in the business and I know how difficult this is, because I have a major disablity. Your house payment should be within 25% of your income to be affordable.
