I went to have dinner with my wife and children to the CCf in Palo Alto. The restaurant wasn't that busy but still took the slothful wait staff over an hour to seat us.

The server, a tall and fat white guy with light blue eyes, was the beginning of this ordeal. His service was slow, it took as 12 minutes to get our drinks. We got our appetizer before the drinks reached the table.

When the manager showed up, a short chubby guy with a goatee, he just said "Sorry but we are doing our best"...
I don't doubt they are doing their best, but their best is not enough when they cannot give a guest an average dinning experience.

I ordered Four Cheese Pasta. I got four pieces of penne and the cheese sauce smelled like cat food. I am tempted whenever I feed my cats to sample their food to see if it tastes like Cheesecake Factory's also.

We can understand the terrible service and the food... but we didn't expect to see the GM approaching us to say something as stupid as what he said... "Doing our best".

We could have had a similar experience by eating cold Chef Boy-ar-dee from a can at the bus station. Don't eat at the Cheesecake Factory, at least, don't go to their location in PALO ALTO.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

CCF Managers simply don't care

AUTHOR: Daniel - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 28, 2006

Yes, maybe I did exaggerated when I said I got 4 pieces of penne...obviously they were not four, they were many more than that...however, if I have to describe the Pasta I would say it was dry and not even hot...

The service was even worse than the food, the server was rude and he wasn't attentive at all. It took more than 10 minutes to get the drinks, by then we had received our appetizer. At least I expected the manager to say "Sorry let me buy you a piece of Cheesecake to apologize for such a bad experience", but the chubby manager seemed to be confrontational...

I would like to see how you feel if you go to a restaurant to celebrate your daughter's birthday and you have such a bad experience...

Really????

Your entree only had FOUR pieces of penne? C'mon. I don't think even the worst manager or even line cook would let an entree go out with only four pieces of pasta. You must be exaggerating. And that being said, did it REALLY take twelve minutes to get your drinks?
