CITI Mortgage Currently in process of being robbed and set up for extortion. O'Fallon ILLINOIS

 I currently have a refinance application in with CITI Mortgage and I have been waiting for the last five months for them to approve the loan. In 2005 I took out a loan and the loan was paid off in the same year. My credit report clearly shows that the loan was opened and closed the same year. However CITI Mortgage is claiming that the company has not done a release of lien and they have requested one from them. I telephoned the company and they stated that they did hear from Citi Mortgage but they have failed to provide them with the adequate information to do a release of lien. It seems that Citi Mortgage must provide them with a tittle search in order to move things along. Citi Mortgage has stated to me in so many words that if the company does not comply to their demands then I will be asked to pay extension fees or they will simply walk away and I will lose the money that I have paid to have my home refinanced. It feels as if I'm in front of a firing squad for a crime I didn't commit.
