Community Reading Club Of Southern California ripoff, telemarketing scam Redondo Beach California

Someone called me from this "company" and then stated that I could get some magazines but I would be only paying for one that would be TV Guide. And I was told that I could cancel at anytime. So, I tried to cancel a week, a mnth, 6mnths into the service each time I would told that I could not cancel. First I was told it was too soon and they could not find my information, then I was told it was too late. Then I was told I would pay 16.00 a mnth then I was told no you have to pay 33.00 a mnth.

Finally I was direct to their legal department (that I believe to be a false-hood)and called back by a Ms. Mitchel. She is not a lawyer and told me that she is a paralegal, which I do not believe to be true either. She stated that they would let me out of this but it was going to take 6mnths to cancel this account. And to let me out I needed to pay for the additional 6mnths of the magazines.

I then asked to speak to a supervisor, someone above her. She said she does not own the company, if she did she would not be on the phones. I was not permitted beyond Ms. Mitchell. They stated that they had some recordings of me aggreeing to the terms. The terms that I aggreed to where that I could cancel at anytime. They are now telling me that I cannot cancel this service, something that I never wanted.
