Common sense..that's a good one

- Someone who doesn't even notice what bank they are applying for are not going to read any contracts or agreements. Not only that but this person got all the way to actually activating the card before they realized that it was not Capital One.
Now, in my opinion Credit one has intentionally made their logo as close to Capital One as they legally could. They also probably target people who have a relationship to Capital One, in the hopes that people do not pay attention and just sign up for an account.
Hopefully this does teach them that before they start giving out vital information that they actually take some time to verify who is getting that information. After all while Credit One is actually a legitimate bank, the next letter they get from someone using a similar logo may not be.

Don't assume

Why did you put another bank name in there using your assumption? You have an access to the Internet, so you should have looked it up before writing something that you CANNOT take back once it is online. Credit One Bank is owned by Sherman Financial Group, LLC [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Credit_One_Bank].
You get charged $75 which could be an annual fee for the card. Have you read the contract when you signed? Did it say anything about annual fee? If so, you must pay it before up front. It is common sense.
Next time, please leave your own assumption out of your report. If credit one bank is not a good deal as it seems, describe about it.
