On January 17th we noticed his credit card payment was withdrawn from his checking account for the amount of 133.99, to CreditOne. However, when he checked to see if he had credit to his card, the payment never processed, even though credit one had withdrawn the money. He has contacted their customer service, mailed them the appropriate bank statement, and they responded with a letter stating they could not trace his information and they need more paperwork. They also made it his duty to submit creditone 'trace number' to his bank, even though he had a statement from the bank saying that creditone took the withdrawal from his checking account. Three more phone calls later, customer service said 'I don't know' and 'sorry, we can't help you'. It was the same agent all 6 times we called. He is from India, and so was his 'supervisor' which leads me to believe that this company is operating outside the US. We have lost a total of 556.00 so far, because we went to make a payment a few days later (we just want to close this account) and they withdrew 307.00 from his checking, once again without applying it to his credit line. The money simply disappeared according to them. Note, they will NEVER give you their name, and they will act like they cannot hear you. Filing a complaint with the FTC, the dept of consumer affairs and the banks. Beware of CreditOne also, because we have had some strange inquiries on his credit reports, after these issue began. Do not recommend

When you throw around terms such as "theft", "lied". I should have just figured you were giving them a glowing review. I guess when you were identifying people's nationality based on voice only I figured you must have some unique gift that no one else does.
That's not it? You don't think I believe you had payments withdrawn from your checking account? Sorry I do have exactly the right idea.
When you identify(or try to identify) someones nationality based on some characteristic of that person(in your case by voice) that is considered "racist" and "discriminatory".
As for the funds. I have no doubt that you have a statement that shows that this bank withdrew the funds, but that is ALL you state you have. The statement from your bank does NOT specify the account it went to. As I stated it could very well have been routed to a different account by you putting in the wrong information.
That is what the tracking information will provide. It gives them the unique transaction number of the transfer they can use to track the payment down. Your bank should be more than willing to provide this. It may be known as Trace ID, Transaction ID, Reference ID..etc. I've had to do this a couple of times and have never had an issue getting it. In fact the bank was more than happy to assist in getting it cleared up.
You are being (intentionally?) vague about how you made the payment. It is a simple answer..such as "Yes I made my payment through my bank" or "I made the payment through Credit One's site".
I'm not going to get into the entire "he said/she said" about the documents they say they got or did not get. I am just telling you that just sending the statement is NOT generally enough because it does not show enough information. You are going to spend all of this time filling "complaints" but did not mention one thing about just calling your bank and asking for this reference number.
As for the other reports. Yes there are other reports, just like there are on many bank. But how many of them are of "missing" payments. Unless you find a few thousand specific reports it doesn't really mean a thing. As we are talking about YOUR report.
But if you must know, no I do not now or have I ever worked for this or any other credit card company and I would never have a card from them. But that doesn't change the comments I made as to what you need to do.
Now, if you have done that and sent them the actual tracking numbers and they still can't help you then yes...file your disputes.

Hi. We both have good credit, and only opened a credit one card because it was a 'first' credit line. We never had credit cards previously, and never had issues with credit before. So kibosh that. We are Americans, who work hard and pay our bills. The monies were taken from our checking account, via an internet payment on both occasions. One in the amount of 133.99 and another in 300, then was charged a late fee of 35. Both payments were taken by creditone, from People's United bank. When we were asked to mail in proof of the transactions, we mailed statements to their office address provided. They returned with a letter saying they needed more information, which is very odd, because the proof was on the statement, in bold letters and said Creditone had withdrawn the money. It was never applied to the account. When we spoke with the supervisor yesterday, he had said they never received any statement from us, and that the payments were never made. Even though, we have a letter sent back to us by Creditone, right in our hands stating they did receive the statement, and that it was not enough. As for your statement assuming we are racist, laughable. Someone who makes a statement that someone is from a different country, is not racist. It is simply stating that we noticed the persons we are dealing with are hard to understand, possibly not even working from within the United States. How is it racist, to simply state that someone may be from India? We hadn't had any issues with CreditOne in 3 years of having the card, and suddenly they dodge and avoid the issues, because their customer service is shoddy to say the least. Why don't you take a minute to look at the other reports here, and see how many other innocent people have been ripped off by this company. Thanks. Have a nice day at work.

CreditOne is a "sub prime" credit card that deals with people who have let's just say less than decent credit. While they have high interest rates and fees they have no resaon to just "steal" payments. $500 is nothing to them, that is like you picking up a penny on the street. So they would have to be doing this to thousands of people, yet are there thousands of reports describing this situation? So what is the rest of the story.
How did they withdraw the funds? Did you go to their site and make the payment? Did you send the payment from your bank's web site?
If you sent it from their site did they give you a confirmation number? Did you get an e-mail confirmation? It is possible that you didn't do this the first time, but with the issues you had why didn't you keep this number the 2nd time?
Now, if you sent it from your bank's web site what proof do you have that YOU put in the right account number? What confirmations does your bank have as to the account it was sent to? A bank statement doesn't show the actual account it went to. That is why they want the full tracking number.
For all they know you have another "account" that this payment went to and are trying to double-dip. Remember the people that have these cards are people that have shown credit issues in the past.
There also seems to be a bit of a racist tone here. How do you KNOW you got the same person all 6 times? After all you also stated they didn't give you their name. So it had to be because they "sounded" the same or were you lying about them not giving you their name.
