Creditreport.com a scam Internet

To anyone wanting a free credit report...BEWARE! They claim it is a free report, but there is a tiny box you have to unclick, or they will give your information to many many other companies, which will hit your bank account or credit card you provide, for additional charges, monthly. You have to call them to cancel any membership, or account you have provided on the internet, or they will hit your bank account and send all your personal information to anyone they choose, and the charges keep hitting your account from multiple companies.

I was charged, for my free report, even though I cancelled it in 7 days, 2 times from free credit report.com in the amount of $29.95, then 4 other charges in the same amount from other companies they sold my info to. I called all companies, and after an hour long fight with 4 different companies each, I managed to get my money back, and they did it immediately. However, I then got further charges on a different credit card, for the free credit report, even though I NEVER gave them the number. They also had my social security number and my other personal info. BEWARE. This may be endless. They sell and sell to outside companies, and you keep getting hit with charges you never signed up for.
Again after an hour long fight regarding the new charges, they did reimburse me for one of the charges. Keep in mind that the person you end up talking to has been transferred to INDIA and you fight because they are ignorant and are in another country, and the language barrier is rediculous!

Good luck, but keep in mind that the fight is worth it... this is a complete scam and ripoff. Don't get a free credit report....it will cost you $$$ and lots of aggrevation and the loss of privacy to other companies now having your information. Debra Egles..Spanish Fork utah
