Cross Country Van Lines Excessive & gross negligence in proper handling of household relocation. Damage $13,031.42 incurred. Ripoff Ridgefield New Jersey

Relocation arrangements were made through Nationwide Relocation Services, Inc. Cross Country Van lines accepted contract. Contract re-assigned to Hercules Van Lines by Cross Country without our knowledge. Scheduled pick up delayed, delay again due to Hercules did not have a truck to accomodate household items and rental truck rented by Hercules was too small. Household items moved to a storage facility, arrival delayed over 12 days. Excessive damage due to gross negligence and mishandling of personal household items totalling $13,031.42 of an estimated value of $60,000. Cross Country will not refund the packing charge and Nationwide Relocation Services refused to return the broker fee to offset the excessive damage for the unprofessional and gross negligence done by the shipper. Nationwide Relocation Services quoted $7,686.91 actually cost $10,626.40 plus damage to household items packed by the Hercules & Cross Country Van Lines.
