Digital Audio Digital Audio 2002 DA 5.1 Pro Series II Virginia Beach VA

I was approached by 2 men in a van outside the Super K Mart in Virginia Beach. They explained that they had a huge overstock of surround speakers. The boxes were sealed professionally. The list price on the box was 1,999.00.

I purchased the speakers for 250.00. They explained that anytime that there is an overstock of product that Digital Audio sends out their overstock salesman to the public to offer a product at a great price. I asked to see them and they opened a sealed box.

The speakers looked well built and I had the money on me so I purchased them. I hooked up the speakers and they do not work.

I began looking for warranty, company information and found that the company Digital Audio does exist but only make car speakers. I have been unable to find a company called Digital Audio on the net that makes home theatre systems. The warranty card is part of the scam. The speakers do not have sereal numbers.

If anyone has further information on this company - I would appreciate hearing from you. After reading over the reports - I feel that this is an on-going thing - does anyone know the name of the company or who is doing this?
