Like the previous post, 2 guys in a white suburban approached me in Northwest Dallas trying to sell me some speakers. They showed me they were in a magazine and retailed for $1890 a piece. They appear to work okay so far except for the discoloration on the television coming from the aluminum casing on the speakers. I had to move them far awy from the TV as a result. They had alot of trebble in them so I had to boost the bass in them.

I paid $200 for them and am hoping they aren't the junk this site makes them out to be but it doesn't look good. I was told they worked fo an audio/video place and the warehouse gave him too many.

I BOUGHT A PAIR EPIPHANY AUDIO SPEAKERS , $200 TURNS OUT THEY WERE WELL MADE , LOOKED GREAT , AND SOUNDED PRETTY GOOD , I USE THEM
AS REAR SPEAKERS AND HAVE BEEN WORKING GREAT FOR 3 YEARS , YOU SEE SPEAKERS THAT ARE $100 EACH AT STORES AND THEY LOOK CHEAP WITH 1 SMALL WOOFER AND 1 TWEETER, MINE HAD 2 - 6 1/2" WOOFERS AND 1 TWEETER IN THE FRONT AND 1 IN THE REAR , YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR , THE REAL CROOKS ARE THE PEOPLE SELLING YOU A SPEAKER WITH A 8" WOOFER AND 1 SMALL TWEETER , LIKE A PAIR I SEEN AT THIS AUDIOPHILE HIGHEND STORE AND THEY WANTED $23,000 A PAIR , AND TO ME THEY DIDN'T SOUND ANY
BETTER THEN A GOOD PAIR OF POLKS, JBL'S OR KLIPSCH.

Same Scam, Different Name ..Epiphany, or something along those lines.

I have encountered these white vans several times over the past years. One just left my office today. Here's the catch. Everyone is catching on to Digital Audio, so they have changed the name of the speakers to Epiphany, or something along those lines. Bottom line, don't buy speakers from a white van. Actually, they were driving a Ford SUV.

TED READ THIS

Ted - what you just described in your commits about being ripped off yesterday - sounds like the same guy I had in Lewsiville - was he wearing shorts and a kinda bluish/greyish print collared button-down shirt - white male maybe 30ish, dirty blond hair, a little scruffy on his neck in a white new suburban. There was not a passanger though.
