Discount Tire Scratched 2013 car and flat out told me there are no cameras and it's their word against mine. Corporate said same. Evansville Internet

I took my car to this company for a discount tire. It was my first time using them and the deal seemed good. I had been shopping that morning so I put my son's ball in the back hatch after giving them the keys and then walked to a nearby store.

Upon my return they were in the back hatch. I wondered why but did not think much of it at the time. When I got back to my car they had not yet put on my new tire and there was a very large deep scratch on top of the bumper by the hatch that they had been in. Everything in my back and the smashed together when they rooted around in the back for my lug nut lock--which was in the glove box. Annoying but not as big a deal as the large scratch on my car.

I had them look at it and they denied it was them. The manager told me he would wipe it with some chemical in a can that looked like laquer thinner. He said smarmily that if it was dirty then it was old. He wiped it and said HMMM. I said yes, because it wasn't there 1/2 hour ago. He said I would have to file a claim with corporate and they didn't have cameras so it was my word against theirs. My opinion is they don't care about your vehicle or any damage they do to it. I fell it is all about the profit and herding people through like cattle as fast as possible with no regard to property.

Corporate sent someone to look at it and today called and said they were denying the claim and that they had no proof it was their employee. In my opinion, it is company policy to deny claims and just tell people it is thier word against the company.

Now I get to turn it and my estimate over to my insurance company and let them fight it. Maybe they, as a company too, will be more successful.

In my opinion, if you use this company after reading this beware about repair expenses you need to know you may incur and that your discount tire may cost you hundreds of extra dollars or more.
