DR Horton Home Builder deceptive sales, can't deliver, worthless warranty ripoff

Our four year old DR Horton home is twisting and has major structural issues from poor framing practices. That warranty they sell you on??? Worthless.

During construction they lost our plans 4 times, and this is what many of the mistakes were blamed on. We should have been smart enough to terminate our contract at that point, but we weren't. I have over 100 pages of issues that were sent to them during and after the construction process was completed.

We have been trying to get our framing issue resolved for 4 months now, to no avail. The contact at DR Horton can't get a hold of his subcontractor, and he told me "You try and see if you have any luck." Well, I am, but it's not my job to. This shouldn't have even been a problem. I blame our city too - there is no reason the inspectors should have missed this, it is a code violation.

Best of luck to anyone who builds a DR Horton home - get EVERYTHING in writing and hire your own inspector... it will save you a lot of grief in the future.
