After reading about the problems with plastic bottles, I ordered two deluxe stainless steel Eco canteens for kids. The order clerk recommended an insulated tote, extra lids, and other special items.  I ordered the insulated totes, but passed on anything else.

The lids were difficult to get off, so I returned the entire order. I was not aware until I followed the directions to return the canteens that Eco charged a 15% restocking fee on every thing - even the postage. If they mentioned it in the fine print, I didn't notice it.

We include a copy of our return policy printed on the packing slip for each order as well as it being listed on our customer service page, www.ecocanteencustomerservice.com. We apologize that you were not aware of the policy, but we do try and make it as clear as possible. Please bear in mind that most companies are far harsher with their return policies, most will not refund your shipping and handling. We refund a portion of the initial shipping and handling charges.

People should read the return policy when ordering online. or should ask if on the phone. I don't know much about eco canteen, but their return policy is just two click off the home page.
