First Extended Service Corp is the biggest scam I've ever come across.
I just read 46 other claims similar than mine is about to be.
I purchased a 2002 Mercury Sable from Braeger Ford in Milwaukee, WI and I recently took my car in because of the heat not working properly (big problem in November in WI).
To make a long story short, I thought the blower motor was bad and had to be replaced, which I thought was covered by my Extended warranty contract.
It clearly states under the "What's covered" section, and under "Heating and Cooling" that the blower motor was covered.
After a $ 45.00 diagnostic at Braeger Ford, the service rep came to me and said that it was NOT covered, because of water intrusion (supposedly there is water in the blower motor whcih makes it malfunction - unfortunately it does rain and snow in WI!), and the dealer wanted to charge me $575.00 to replace the blower motor, the resistor rain hat ext, the cabin air Filter, and the cowl panel.
I'm looking into this right now and I'm wating for a response from both the dealer and First Extended, but from I could find on this site today, it doesn't look too promising.
Oh yeah, and by the way, I did pay $ 1295.00 for the d**n warranty which I have never used in 2.5 yrs!
I hope that they'll be willing to admit that it was a mistake (or an attempt to rape me) and that it will be taken care of since my contract sitting in front of me clearly states that the blower motor IS covered and nowhere in the contract does it state "unless water intrusion is involved"
I'll do anything I can to give the dealership as well as First Extended thereputations they deserve. Word to mouth goes a long way.

Thats alittle steep, full list price for the motor from Ford is 97.69 + ,5 hrs for labor. the resistor is 14.27 + .5 hrs for labor. thats 175.00 out the door at my shop. Cant see why they are replacing the cowl, unless they broke it while diagnosing it,
