February 02, 2011 – Purchased a used 80GB, 2USB, PS3 System @ $239.99.  Also purchased 2 new games, Gran Turismo 5 @ $59.99 and Call of Duty: Black Ops @ $49.99.   Subtotal - $349.97 and after tax $380.59.

Due to unforeseen circumstances a little over a month later, I had to sell these items back to the store for cash. 

March 04, 2011 – Returning to the GameStop store where I originally purchased these items.  I was assisted by the same associate that helped me purchase these items.  When he entered in the serial number for the PS3 system, it rung up as actually being a 40GB PS3 Console.  Apparently the Associate initially entered the wrong serial number into their system during the original purchase.  When I questioned the Associate about this issue, he states, “Oh, don’t worry man.  They are sold at the same price, so it’s all good.”  I believe if he would of shown me an advertisement confirming his statement, I wouldn’t be this concerned.  If they were sold at the same price, I definitely wouldn’t want the smaller version. 

The PS3 Console rings up at $70.00, don’t forget the 20% fee for cash back trade-ins, leaves me @ $56.00.

The two games ring up @ $23.00 and $24.00, minus the 20% for cash back again.  Both games total a return of $37.60 ($18.40 & $19.20).

I received a Grand Total of $93.60

With only a month and two days of usage and with no embellishment from me of the condition of these items, they were received in very good, excellent, working condition.  Therefore, they were brought back in that same condition, if not better.

I want people to know that NO matter the advertisement of this service program, they are taking the advantage to the extreme with this one.  I would consider this to be an extremely unethical service program and advise others NOT to participate like I did and find an alternate solution.
