GE Capital Cons Cardco Late Fees ripoff Louisville Kentucky

Not only is this scam in dental offices, but GE has infected veterinary offices as well.

We had emergency surgery on our dog and since we couldn't pay cash, the office had this "same as cash" deal with GE Capital Cons Cardco.

I got so tired of dealing with those people, I decided to transfer the balance to another credit card account.... the nightmare really began then!

GE "lost" the 1st check my credit card co. sent (it mysteriously appeared later so they could charge me a stop payment fee on it!), so my credit card company stopped payment and re-issued another check.

Now I would think if a check came in for the total amount due that someone was trying to pay off the account, wouldn't you? Apparently that is too logical for this company because now, I have the stop pay fee and a late fee and a "mimimum finance charge purchase fee of $1.00 on this account.

I called again today only to be told by the supervisor as well as the rep that they were sorry but there was nothing to be done about it.

Thank you Fran for the link to the Atty Gen of Ohio. I posted a complaint there also and feel like you do...if enough people complain, maybe something will be done.

This company is making a killing off of late fees and any other fees they can dream up and you do get worn down fighting with them. I told the supervisor that if I were her, I would change job as I wouldn't want to be associated with that company! I also said I would tell everyone I knew to NEVER do business with them.
