This site and the people that operate it are a total fraud and scam. They claim to have your best interest in mind while the whole time they are busy selling leads and advertising space to the same companies they are claiming to be scams or rip offs. To top it off they are actually just trying to get you to file bankruptcy and use their attorneys to do this and make a profit. Sure seems odd that they same guys that claim to be looking out for you are just trying to make you buy a terrible or worst product from them. Seems there should be more regulation on who is allowed to give advice. And if you are going to profit from it you should clearly write that you are doing so. look forward to your response have plenty of more information to share about these guys, as i have personally called them pretending to be interested in add space and asked them about removing some of the negative press and they claim as soon as you sign a advertising contract they will take down any negative info that is on the site. I am an advertiser and see some of our clients pieces on here and know firsthand that they are actually benefiting their clients. Pretty sure all Steve Rhodes is doing is lining his pockets on consumer's backs.

I have been reading articles on this website for a for years, and I have found them to be very informative and insighful. In particular, I have read many of the articles on discharging student loans being discharged in bankruptcy.
The articles are well wrriten, and makes sense for those who know how to comprehend what he is saying. I have researched many of the case laws cited in his articles, and they exactly as stated, and are right on point. If a person can't understand them, they should hire a lawyer to do the work for them,

The GetOutOfDebt.org site has been the focus of a continued negative SEO attack in an attempt to discredit the site and it's work on reporting on the debt relief industry and providing consumers with free help and advice.

The claims made by this apparent imposter who posted the complaint are unfounded and untrue. Let me run through them one at a time.
The site makes no claim anyone has to use any particular bankruptcy attorney. In fact the general advice is consumers should meet with a local bankruptcy attorney that is licensed in their state.
The site receives no financial benefit from anyone using any attorney.
The site sells no leads.
The site relationships are all openly and publicaly disclosed in the site terms.
The site has no way for anyone to call about advertising. We don't have a sales staff and no contract to use or sign. All ads are through Google AdSense and as disclosed in the site terms, the site has no relationship with whatever ads appear.
The claims about the removal of any negative past articles is completely untrue. We absolutely do not remove any articles for money, advertising, or any compensation. Again, this is addressed in the site terms as well.
The complaint ends with "EP Marketing" but no further informaiton about who the person is or where the alleged EP Marketing can be contacted.
The complaint is false and the poster is a liar.
