GMAC Insurance National General Insurance Scam Ripoff Adjustors Nationwide

Short and sweet:

We have been customers of GMAC Insurance for 9 straight years, we don't shop around, we stuck with them and have never file a single claim.  Both of our vehicles have always had full coverage under GMAC policies. 

Her car was hit in a Walmart parking lot, not a lot of damage but the mirror was toast, dent in the door with paint transfer, and a chunk of something hit her fender.

We took it to their prefer auto shop (Collex) who wouldn't even wash the car to estimate it (we live in michigan, the car was covered in salt you couldnt possibly estimate the damage in this condition i would have washed had i known they werent going to) anyway they estimated the damage at $1200.  We took the car to another shop that GMAC also deals with for a second opinion they washed the car and said there was more paint work needed then the first shop saw and would be $2000.

GMAC then sends a field adjustor out who says "Nope, this looks like multiple incidents to me we'll pay for the mirror which we can get one from a junkyard for $60 so thats it." I call and complain the next day, I get sent to the field adjustors manager who promises to send out another field adjuster for a 'second opinion'.  This person says the exact same thing with the same results.  Now the company will pay nothing, and says my only recourse is to hire an independent adjuster on my dime and fight them in court, knowing I'm not going to do that over a $2,000 claim. 

Companies like this should be falling all over themselves to retain clients like me, 9 years of on time payments and renewals 0 claims, instead they'd rather save $2000.  Needless to say it is going to cost them a lot more then that $2,000 just in my lost business!  Be very careful with this company, they will NOT be there when you need them!
