Bought a house in Houston and in the contract for sale was a provision for the seller to purchase a home warranty to protect the buyer(me). Home warranty was purchased from Home warranty of America. One month after move in, I called in a service call for the washer and dryer. Home warranty of America instantly denied the claim. They said they were broke before I got them. Period. The policy purchased was the diamond policy which includes washer and dryers. Warning, do not buy Home Warranty of America. They are a rip- off.

After filing complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Home Warranty of America refunded the original purchase price of the home warranty. Because the warranty was to protect me on buying a used home, I am now on my own if there are any repairs. I feel fortunate to have received my money back but why waste your time and money with a company like Home Warranty of America. In my opinion, An absolutely worthless company.
