Homeward Residential PHONY OFFER Nationwide

Got a solicitation letter from Homeward Residential (owned by Ocwen Loan Servicing) offering a mortgage re-fi with attractive terms.  I phoned and began the process with 'Matthew'.

After agreeing by phone on terms, I received an email from him which raised questions.

I responded with an email noting that the promise of a refund of the appraisal cost now was shown as a credit, not a refund.  Sounded like bait-and-switch.   Additionally, a (new) offer of $500 towards closing costs was bogus, since the initial letter clearly stated that as an insentive.

I asked for clarification of these discrepencies, but I never heard from Homeward, or Matthew, again!  And given the shady treatment I received and their zero follow through, I'll never have anything to do with this flaky company.
