Nov 2012....applied for Modification of loan. Immediately Homeward Residential pays my property taxes without prior authorization. In fact prepaid before they were due. Made payment for December and now they are not applying it to the account because they want 348.00 extra because of the "escrow" for propert taxrs they prepaid. ive made 48 calls and hundreds of minutes to the Company to resolve this issue and find out what is going on with my Modification process. I continually receive different reasons and excuses. Being told my paperwork is in review, underwiters, closing depts. Ive been told i have been approved. I have been told i would receive a offer by mail. None to which are true. So i stopped payment on my January 2013 payment because the week i was told i was approved for Modification i get a letter saying my loan will be transfered to another company called Ocwen Loan Servicing.
I called Ocwen Loan Servicing. I called a few times. Once again im receiving mis information. No the 2 companies are not linked. Yes they are. No your modification will not be effected. Yes your loan modification eill be null n voided. I just wish I would of never apied for a modification in the first place. I now am in arrears with my Mortgage and probably headed for forclosure. Everytime i called to make a payment each month they would offer me this modification application because i would be a couple days late with payment. I should of never listened.

This sounds all too familiar

AUTHOR: Double-R - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, February 17, 2013

After reading this report, I filed my own complaint against Homeward Residential; aka: AHMSI. They appear to be in the business of forcing loan modifications on consumers, and prepaying property taxes without homewners consent.

I, along with many others, never intended to do business w/these scam artists; my loan was sold to them by another company, in my case, Ameriquest. They appear to be in the business of gathering up loans, then screwing everything up so they can forclose on your property.

You can't get a straight answer out of them, you never get the same person twice, your assigned rep is never available, you get broken English double-talk from their Indian call center...it's insane.

Now there's another curveball; its called Ocwen Loan Servicing...another name change? Another re-selling of the loan? Basically, its another way of keeping the consumer confused and uninformed, another way to keep one step ahead of the Feds and Regulators...

How does this happen? Where is the Government oversight? Who is protecting the consumer? Read my report, submitted on 2/16/2013 for more information.
