Recieved a prepaid VISA gift card ($100.00) that was sealed and in the packaging. I went to the website to register the card before use ( mygiftcardsite.com). Once I did that I had access to the card history- come to find out there are CHARGES on the card out of the package!, & the card is not loaded with the amount it was purchased for.

As I said above, this was a gift card, given to me & purchased by someone else. The person purchasing it I trust and would never ever do anything like this SCAM. I reached out to the customer service line of the website ( 1-866-952-5653) to see what could be done. I was told over and over these cards are like cash and because they are treated as such, the funds missing could not be reloaded to the card.

I was told after asking more questions & demanding to talk to someone other than the 8.00/hr "customer service" drone, that the purchaser would need to jump through all these hoops- THEN an investigation would be initated to see if in fact the card purchaser or recipient had indeed used the card. Purchaser has to not only provide purchase reciept of the card, but proof from each of the companies shown on the card that the charges come from that he did not use the card! That is next to impossible as the card was used online (from what the transaction history shows and the rep told me on the phone)

This organization does not give its real name, address or any other incrimiating information as it knows its scamming people. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE PREPAID CARDS!! You will get ripped off! Go with a REPUTABLE company such as AMEX if you need prepaid cards.

Now I, as the cardholder have a prepaid card I cant use, that I recived as a bonus for great work at my job. The purchaser is out the $100.00 and there is no guarantee he will get his $$ either. This company SCAMMED US BOTH. I sure hope someone finds out where this company operates and files a lawsuit! These guys need to be put out of business. There is not much hope of ever seeing the funds and or getting any money back! This is disgusting! Where is the govt investigating this organization!
