National Imaging Distributors ripoff Tamarac Florida

After submitting an inquiry on a franchise website for the Digital Photo Express machine, we were contacted by National Imaging Distributors about purchasing their machine.

This is a self service photo kiosk that accepts credit/debit cards and produces 4x6 and 8x10 inch print as well as CD and specialty items for the customers that use the machine.

We negotiated with Jack Teitelbaum for an exclusive in our area and were told that we would need to purchase a minimum of 3 machines to insure this. We did purchase 3 machines from the company in November of 2005.

Our first machine was shipped to us in April of 2006, missing it's CD dispenser. We were told it was on back order and would be a few weeks before it was delivered. Our other two machines were in production. We continued to work with the locations manager for placement of the other 2 machines and were continually put off as to thier delivery date.

On June 5th we called the companies 1-800 number to work on delivery of our yet outstanding machines and CD dispenser for machine #1 and received a disconnect recording from the 800#. The website was also 404 and when we contacted the technical support staff at sunrise technical, they informed us that they had terminated their contract 2 weeks prior with National Imaging Distributors.

We are now out 2 machines, a large investment of money, no service contracts to continue to operate the machines or get repairs if necessary, and the company is no where to be found.

We just today filed a report with the FTC and will be incontact with the Florida State Attorney Generals office tomorrow.

I am sure that there are other distributors out there who were bilked out of their investments besides me and "Andrew" from Indiana. If you were go to www.ftc.gov and file a report. You can also contact the Florida State Attorney General at click on consumer protection and then on how to file a complaint or check on a business link. Best of luck, I hope to see a class action suit against these guys.
