Presidential Van Lines Misleading representation, pressure to sign contract, change price of shipping, refuse to return deposit South Daytona Florida

My daughter engaged Presidential Van Lines to ship her presonal belongings from Providence, RI to Boise, ID.  She originally spoke to Matt Dempsey who convinced her to sign a contract quickly after promissing no longer than 14 day delivery, $1million insurance, furniture disassembly and reassembly services, etc.  She failed to carefully read the contract provided, but made an electronic payment fo a deposit of $1160.  The contract only included the legally required $.60/lb insurance and absolutely no delivery date defined.  Upon attempts to clarify the delivery date she was told it could be up to 25 business days, and the insurance Matt referred to was not available.  As the moving date approached, my daughter attempted to clarify the detailed inventory provided in the not-to-exceed quote and changes in prices started to emerge.  She was told, for example, a "Bed with Mattress" did not include a bed frame and that would cost more.  The new Presidential Van Lines Rep was insiting on another $500 in electronic payment "While he waited on the phone" to keep on schedule.  She refused, and canceled the move, no longer trusting the company.  

Over the past two weeks and after several conversations with Brooke "in finance" we were refused a refund.  We also discovered that the principal of the business listed with the FLorida Sec of State, Joe Mazzo, previously had a company called Divine Moving Group that he closed shortly before opening Presidential Van lines about six months ago.  Divine Moving had many BBB complains adn an "F" rating by the BBB.  Presidential Van Lines ahd accumulated 9 BBB complaints already.  We asked to speak to Joe, but Brooke refused the request.  Since posting a Yelp review, we have received multiple message from othe Yelp users describing similar horrific problems and wondering if we had any luck getting our deposit returned.  Sadly, not.
